主讲老师: 马建国 马建国博士是马里兰大学地理科学系负责地理空间科学硕士项目的主任。于康奈尔大学获得生物与环境工程的博士学位。自2006年以来,教学和研究方向主要集中在空间分析,GIS建模,空间数据库,网络GIS开发,以及GIS在可再生能源及持续化发展中的应用。

课程简介:Course Description:

This course is designed to help students develop a systematic and in-depth understanding of spatial analysis methods. Students learn and practice how to explore the data in terms of geometric measurements and more importantly analyze the data to discover spatial patterns of various feature types including points, lines, network, areal/polygons, terrains, as well as 3D surfaces. This a more advanced GIS class and students are expected to learn the mathematics of certain methods and also practice how to customize the default settings and accurately interpret the results when using the software. In this class, ArcGIS Pro 2.3 is the primary software to be used as it represents the future trend of GIS and is expected to completely take over traditional Desktop GIS in next few years. We also use ArcGIS Online as a platform to integrate spatial analysis with Web GIS development.

Introduction: Spatial Analysis; ArcGIS Pro; ArcGIS Online and integration

Demo: Using Spatial Analysis for Emergency Management with ArcGIS Pro

 

Day 2

Point Pattern Analysis; Line Data Analysis

 

Day 3

Network Analysis; Areal Analysis

 

Day 4

Surface Analysis; 3D Visualization and Analysis

 

Day 5

Deployment of Spatial Analysis on Web; Business Analyst Online (BAO)
